SOUTH KOREA | WORK PERMIT & JOB 2020

A leading Korean Engineering & Construction Company involved with Thermal Power Plant Projects in Vietnam. Since 1896, Doosan has evolved with its people and is now opening up a new future as a global leader of ISB. Doosan’s efforts are directed at creating a better foundation for life. You can find the traces of such efforts in everything from infrastructure support businesses such as industrial facilities, machinery, and construction to consumer goods.
Language teaching is a popular choice for native English-speaking graduates in South Korea, and there are also opportunities in sectors such as technology and IT. Some multinational companies with head offices in South Korea may recruit UK graduates. It's not essential to be fluent in Korean but learning some before you travel will help you to communicate with local people and will show recruiters that you are dedicated to working in the country.

Work Place - South Korea: South Korea, an East Asian nation on the southern half of the Korean Peninsula, shares one of the world’s most heavily militarized borders with North Korea. It’s equally known for its green, hilly countryside dotted with cherry trees and centuries-old Buddhist temples, plus its coastal fishing villages, sub-tropical islands and high-tech cities such as Seoul, the capital.

CV, application and interview tips
It's best to find work before traveling to South Korea, to ensure that you'll get a suitable visa. Similarly to the UK, some companies require a CV and covering letter (known as a self-introduction letter) while others have an application form. South Korean CVs tend to be quite concise, made up of keywords rather than sentences. You'll typically be expected to attach a photo of yourself. Application forms for multinational companies may be in English, but don't assume this is always the case. Networking and making contacts are also useful for job hunting in South Korea.
